Most parents protect their children from adult humor, language and behavior in the real world. However, these three things carry over to the Internet, as well. Because of this, parents should have certain Internet restrictions for their kids. Here are some of those restrictions:
.Site limiting – Most websites are not monitored by any type of filter. Therefore, parents should limit the type of sites their children visit. Social media sites require all users to be over 13 years of age.
.Time limiting – Just like in the real world, adult content surfaces at night. Kids should not be on the Internet past the evening hours.
.Password restrictions – All parents should have passwords set up for various computer aspects, like logging on to the Internet.
Hopefully these restrictions are clear enough for parents to understand. It is your right to protect your children — use it.
